Harvey @ 2 years of age

On 23rd October 2004, Harvey flew from Sydney on the East coast of Australia to his new home in Bunbury, on the West Coast.

Harvey was located after a year of searching and studying lines of Australian Shih Tzu's and was chosen on pedigree first, and his placement confirmed after I saw his adorable pictures!

He is a mixture of ž old Australian/English import lines and ź old American breeding. His lineage includes the lovely English Champion Santosha Sunking [Santosha Shih Tzu Homepage] five times in the first six generations, Australia's very successful Duxford [Duxford Shih Tzu Homepage] lines, and the influential American Dragonfires, Louwan and Wingate's lines, amongst others.

Harvey boasts the most gorgeous big head, arrogant expression, lovely dark pigment, a beautiful front, perfect rear, great turn of stifle and the most wonderfully balanced and correct movement.
This little darling is full of charm and just oozes personality plus! Slow to mature, we feel his best is yet to come!

In his spare time, Harvey enjoys Agility in the form of novice jumping, socialising and charming everyone he meets. He also trains in obedience and qualified for his CCD title in April 2008. We will now begin working towards CD.

Harvey has been examined by a canine opthalmologist and certified clear of hereditary eye defects. He has also been hip scored due to my concern for the high incidence of Hip Dysplasia in Shih Tzu. His score is well below half the currently published Australian breed average of 18.33

NEWSFLASH : 23 September 2007 - Harvey places THIRD, qualifying for the first leg of his CCD title at his FIRST EVER obedience trial, with a score of 88/100.
23 February 2008 - Harvey places SECOND and gains the second leg of his CCD title, with a score of 85/100.
6 April 2008 - Harvey places FIRST and qualifies for his CCD title, with a score of 89/100. [VIDEO]

Harvey is the proud father of a lovely litter of four gold & white pups - born 4 March 2008.

Michele (Meinlieb) and I are very pleased with this litter - with all 4 puppies being lovely examples of the breed.

Stella (Meinlieb I Told U So) will be showing in Perth under the capable hands of young Amy Rattray and her mum Lesley; the gorgeous Molly (Meinlieb Causin Chaos) who is adored by Rob, Michele and Alex in NSW, could easily have been a show-stopper, and the gorgeous boys Dougal (Meinlieb Magic Rndabout) and Gregory (Meinlieb Takin A Chance) will stay with me (see links in the menu at the bottom of the page).
