Graham's Personal Invite

Ever since I started guiding my Aim has been to provide quality ethical hunting of real wild game in real wild areas.  A real hunt is hard work, you must be fit, cover lots of ground and carry your own gear.  We do not use vehicles, all hunting is on foot the old fashioned way.   Depending on the hunters fitness we will cover 8-15km a day to view plenty of Buffalo, and get downwind so the Buffalo are undisturbed during the final approach.  All these factors and effort, make an important result... that the hunter has taken his trophy fair and square.  The ethical hunter will be proud of his or her efforts and trophy.  Your guides are all mature travelled hunters with the same aims and dedication.  We must be prepared for a charge and to back up one another, so our equipment and rifles must be perfect.  I invite you to come and experience Australia's best buffalo hunting.

Best Looking Trophies

Every hunter wants a quality trophy.  We offer real hunting, amongst large numbers of wild Buffalo where only mature and old big bulls are taken each season.  Reality is most old Bulls have worn horns around 90-96 SCI. Buffalo roll in the mud or sand each day, pushing their horns into the ground to roll their 700-1000kg body over and upside down... yes a great sight to watch.  However during this process the horn tips of wide bulls are often damaged or worn down, taking 3 to 5" off each side, effecting 6-10 points of score. Bulls with horns that curve back with sharper points are more likely to go 98-110SCI.  Bulls with a heavy wide 40-50" spread and straight horns are often the most impressive trophy, yet these guys often score around 85-95 SCI.  We have all types of trophy.  To most hunters score is not important, they want an old bull, an ethical hunt, great stalks and close encounters on dangerous game. The choice is yours.

Air Travel And Early Bookings

Dont wait to book.   Hunt while you can.  People are booking in advance, already for 2010.  The advantages; reserve the dates you want, get cheaper airfares, secure your hunt price, save on shared hunt air charter, and plan tours and fishing in advance when visiting Darwin and Australia.  Now load up the 375H&H or 470NE and get some practice.   Why not bring both..!!

Taxidermy

The most important part of your hunt is getting that trophy hanging on the wall.  We personally treat and package all our trophies.  Our International freight company have reliably done the job for 10 years.  Make sure your Taxidermist has done Water Buffalo before, the head is often longer than Cape Buffalo and the ears go straight out.  We can recommend Australian taxidermists if needed with completion around 6 months.

Value of Your Hunt

When you use a professional safari company with high standards, you are not only paying for a quality hunt and trophy, you are paying for a business to operate all year, total dedication to customers, professional wages, and the future of a company that must maintain productive hunting concessions.  A cheap outfitter will make no profit, and do anything to get your money.  Travelled hunters know there are no bargains, cheap hunts will have problems, no trophy size animals, no permits, no international firearms licence, lost skins or trophies... a disaster.  Every year it WILL happen again, somewhere.  Ensure your hard earned money is not wasted.
The hunting is about 1/4 of the work, a professional outfitter spends more time- planning, training, emails, phone calls, marketing, conventions, brochures, scheduling, booking charters, visiting police, arranging hunting and access permits, repairs, servicing, buying and transporting supplies, remote travel, trophy cleaning, treating, packaging, freighting, exporting etc. You are paying for more than a hunt in the bush.  You MUST book with a proven professional outfitter.

The Rewards

Our aim is to provide your dream hunt.  Your rewards are a successful safari, great photos and finished trophy back home.  You will see many mature Buffalo bulls before you decide to shoot.  We have made many freinds all over the world.  Some hunters have had us in their homes, where we have laughed, wined and dined while recalling our Aussie adventures and other big game hunts... Like guiding a father and son close up on a large old angry bull, who stares through our cover, and tries to judge us good or bad... he steps slowly towards us, only 15 yards now, sniffing the air... making sure the rifles are ready... we wait........ These moments are shared with father and son forever, these moments and feelings are my personal great rewards that I treasure...

We look forward to another Great Hunt Season in 2009.
