Pom Pom & Precious

Pom Pom and Precious came to us quite unexpectedly in July 1996. They were rescued by the local RSPCA from the back yard of a rented property. The tennant had owed rent so left overnight, leaving her rabbits to perish.

Pom Pom is a cute Himilayan Netherland Dwarf male and Precious is an Albino (probably a NZ White or similar) female.

We attempted to find homes for the bunnies to no avail. Shortly after their arrival, Precious gave birth to a litter of 8 kittens - 6 survived. We succeeded in finding homes for the babies but it appeared that Pom Pom and Precious were here to stay, so we had Pom Pom castrated and now the two bunnies live together in a large enclosure with tunnels and burrows and are very happy rabbits.

Though not keen on being caught and cuddled, they are friendly and affectionate.
